QA-SDET Tester Category: Testing/Quality Assurance Main location: United States, Georgia, Atlanta Position ID: J0826-0877 Employment Type: Full Time Position Description: We're looking for a Mid Level QA Tester with primarily manual testing experience. This role is centered on API and backend testing, with exposure to automation and a deeper understanding of system behavior. Your future duties and responsibilities: Execute manual testing for APIs (functional, integration, regression, negative testing) Validate API endpoints using tools like Postman (payloads, headers, auth, error handling) Review API specs and identify edge cases or gaps Troubleshoot issues using logs and backend data to identify root causes Partner with developers to report defects and validate fixes Perform end to end testing across systems and integrations Validate data across APIs, databases, and services Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, etc.) Maintain test documentation (test cases, plans, reports) Support QA process improvements and contribute to automation where possible Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 3+ years of QA experience with strong API/backend testing Solid understanding of REST APIs and integrations Hands on experience with Postman or similar tools Ability to read JSON, XML, and write basic SQL queries Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile environments Preferred Some experience building QA automation scripts (any tool) Exposure to CI/CD and automated testing workflows Experience with microservices or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) Other Information: CGI anticipates accepting applications for this position through September 2, 2026. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,000.00 $123,800.00.
