Position Title: IT Specialist Department/Campus: Campus Reports to: Operations Manager FLSA Status: Nonexempt Pay Grade: PG-1065 Job Type: Full Time Work Hours: Normal School hours Qualifications HighSchoolDiplomaorG.E.D. AssociateDegreeinarelatedfieldfromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversityispreferred. Duties and Responsibilities CooperatingwiththeDistrictstaffinthetotalefforttobringaboutqualityeducationforstudentsthroughthe use ofinstructional technology. Assistinginplanning,coordinatingandimplementinginstructionaltechnologyapplicationsconsistentwith established projectobjectivesand activities. Providingon-goingin-servicetoteachers,administratorsandPara-professionalsintheuseofinstructional technology and the use of hardware applications. Troubleshootshardwareandsoftwaretoidentifycomputermalfunctions. Maintainstechnologyinventoryrecordsandpaperwork. Coordinatingeffortstoassistschoolsintheidentification,selection,acquisition,useandevaluationofcomputer hardware andappropriate software. Establishingandmaintainingtechnologyresourcesappropriateforclassroomuse. Attendingrequiredlocal,stateandothermeetings/workshops/conferencesforthepurposeofsharingand collecting information gained with the district schools. Performsotherjobrelateddutiesasrequired. Skills and Abilities Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelyinbothwrittenandoralformswithalllevelsofmanagement,bothinternaland external to the district. Abilitytoestablishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipsbothinternalandexternaltothedistrict. Abilitytoorganizespecialprogramsforassignedcampus. Abilitytousecomputerincludingsoftware,databaseusedbythedistrict,spreadsheetandwordprocessing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone. Abilitytoanalyzedata Abilitytouseeffectiveinterviewtechniques,effectivepublicspeakingskills,andproblem-solvingskills Work Environment and Physical Requirements LightWork:mayrequireoccasionallightlifting. Nightsandweekendactivitieswillbeoccasionallyrequired. Positionisinschoolsettingandrequiresprolongedworkatadeskinonelocation,walking,andstanding.
