Senior Product Manager, Data Products

Pacific Biosciences seeks a Senior Product Manager to own strategy and roadmap for life sciences data products built on sequencing technology. This role bridges customer needs, scientific requirements, and commercial considerations to define and launch data platforms for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Define product vision, target customers, positioning, and roadmap based on market and technical capabilities
- Lead customer discovery conversations, demonstrations, pilots, and feedback sessions to understand requirements
- Translate customer needs into product requirements, success metrics, and launch criteria
- Partner across sequencing, bioinformatics, cloud, and software teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalability
- Define data-use models, supported analyses, access controls, and pricing alongside legal and commercial teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
- Seven or more years of product management leading complex data, software, or platform products
- Experience in genomics, biopharma, healthcare data, bioinformatics, or related life sciences field
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data governance, privacy, security, and data-use controls
- Experience developing pricing models, business cases, and product economics
- Demonstrated ability to influence scientific, technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders
- Current authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation: $128,800–$193,200 base
