Principal/Sr Principal Proposal Analyst

Job Summary Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Principal (Level3) or Senior Principal (Level4) Proposal Analyst to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. The role provides essential support to the F‑35 Production & Development Operating Unit, leading and coordinating proposal activities across diverse and inclusive teams. Key Information Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance required for start: No. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time. Responsibilities Develop, plan, and schedule proposals. Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in accordance with RFP specifications. Coordinate collection of cost, scheduling, and performance information from functional departments. Research and analyze historical data; develop cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinate activities and participate in fact‑finding meetings. Participate in should‑cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Serve as a member of the contract negotiating team. Work in a team environment to develop proposals in response to customer requests. Prepare proposals in compliance with applicable government regulations and internal policies. Present proposal recommendations to management. Prepare certified cost and pricing data packages. Support proposal audits and negotiations with customers. Basic Qualifications Level3 Principal Proposal Analyst Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 5 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years of proposal or material estimating experience. Experience in estimating, pricing, finance, contracts, business, and/or business operations. Ability to apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship. Level4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience. Experience in estimating, pricing, finance, contracts, business, and/or business operations. Ability to apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications Strong attention to detail with high standards of quality. Experience with developing and/or analyzing Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Ability to independently complete projects with limited supervision. Proven data analysis skills for meaningful insights. Prior price estimating experience. Experience with ProPricer or BOENext. Experience with cost/price analysis. Advanced Excel skills. Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Self‑motivated with teamwork abilities. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Compensation Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 – $141,200.00. Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 – $176,300.00. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentive programs.
