Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join Sutter Amador OB/GYN in California's Sierra Foothills. This primarily obstetrics-focused role serves an appreciative and underserved patient population at Sutter Amador Hospital, a 53-bed rural hospital known for its exceptional labor & delivery nursing team. Practice Info
- Primarily obstetrics-focused role
- Practice at Sutter Amador Hospital, a 53-bed rural hospital
- Low-acuity OB practice averaging 20–25 deliveries per month
- Robotic-assisted surgery capabilities
- Opportunity to grow and shape the GYN surgical program
- Minimal on-site subspecialty services (no NICU, MFM, or Urology), with strong referral relationships to nearby Sutter tertiary care centers
Responsibilities
- Serve an appreciative and underserved patient population
- Practice high-quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in graduate medical education, teaching OB/GYN residents and Family Medicine residents in a rural residency track
- Rotate 1–2 days per month at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento to maintain clinical skills and tertiary-care exposure
Compensation
- $399,000 - $399,000 /Yr.
- Sign-on bonus of up to $50,000
- Relocation assistance of up to $20,000
- Resident stipend up to $3,000 per month while in residency for up to 24 months
- Forgivable loan of up to $200,000
- PSLF eligible

Shift & Schedule
- Call Schedule (1:3 Ratio)
- Weekday Call: Tuesday–Thursday, two weeks per month (6 days total)
- Weekend Call: Friday–Monday, one weekend per month (4 days total)
- Total: 10 call days per month
