Location SD, Sioux Falls Specialty Cardiology - Advanced Heart Failure Visas Accepted N/A Practice Details Sanford Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join an integrated practice including a team of 9 cardiologists, 1 of which is Advanced Heart Failure Certified, and 3 Cardiothoracic Surgeons. The ideal candidate will participate in the development of a LVAD and ECMO program. Manage inpatient ECMO, LVAD, and cardiogenic shock. Maintain a robust general non-invasive cardiology practice with dedicated advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension outpatient clinics. Provide services to inpatient, clinic and outreach locations with nurse practitioner support. General Cardiology call 1:9. Join a well-established heart failure program providing consultation and longitudinal outpatient management of advanced heart failure patients, including those with acute and durable mechanical support devices. Experience in medical device management of advanced heart failure patients is ideal. Participate in over 20 clinical trials, encourage and support research endeavors, and regularly present at national meetings. Opportunity for clinical education and research with general and interventional cardiology fellowships in a university health setting.
