Cleans mats, tables, and equipment, per facility standards, prior to massages.Adheres to department policies regarding timeframe, form, and content of written daily notes.Demonstrates collaboration in communication with team members and is open to feedback and receptive to change.Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate for the diagnosis, age group, and patients' physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans. Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of massage treatment techniques such as soft/deep tissue massage, effleurage, petrissage, myofascial release and trigger point release techniques.May perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School diploma or equivalentExperience: 200 clinical hours and 500 training hours from an accredited massage instituteCertifications: Certification from an accredited massage institute, BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.Licensed: Virginia Licensed Massage TherapistPreferred Qualifications:1 year of massage therapist experiencePrenatal and post-partum massage therapy experienceAbout UsWe are Inova, Northern Virginia's leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
