Become a Key Player as a Tool and Die Maker

You will use your hands-on machining and fabrication skills to build, repair, and maintain fixtures, molds, tools, and dies that keep production running. You will partner with the shop team and production stakeholders to ensure parts meet specifications and uptime goals. This is an onsite role in Erlanger, KY.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Use manual machining equipment to build fixtures and machine parts.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics to create and build new fixtures, tools, and parts.
• Inspect completed tools and dies for imperfections or damage that affect functionality.
• Perform drilling, tapping, deburring, welding, and fabrication to improve quality.
• Test and regularly maintain equipment, tools, and machines to ensure proper setup and efficiency.
• Modify machine parameters (speed, material feed, path of cut) to meet product specifications.
• Keep the shop and tools clean, organized, and safe; plan next steps in processes.

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
• Minimum 5 years in machining and alteration of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Ability to read and draw basic prints and understand shop goals.
• Thorough knowledge of machine shop practices, machine tool operations, mechanics, and material properties.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability and strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency reading measuring tools: tape measure, scale, micrometer, calipers, height gauge.
• Understanding of mathematics, handbook formulas, and trigonometry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and good communication skills.
