Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a general Medical Surgical unit, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, with occasional 1:7 as census requires
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System for documentation and patient monitoring
• Float to other units (including ICU for Medical Surgical overflow or Step Down patients) as needed and appropriate
• Participate in on-call coverage on a scheduled shift basis when census dictates; no additional intrinsic call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must be registered with the State of New Mexico (fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers; process may take several weeks)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry System
• Familiarity with post-operative orthopedic or general surgery patient populations
