Title -Travel Surgical Technologist – GI/Endoscopy (GI Experience Required)
Location: Wauwatosa, WI 53222
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Weekends | No On-Call
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist with GI/Endoscopy experience to support a busy outpatient surgery center in Wauwatosa, WI. The ideal candidate will be skilled in assisting with endoscopic procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and preparing surgical instruments and case carts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize instruments, supplies, and equipment for GI/endoscopy procedures.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic cases.
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Perform room setup and turnover between cases.
- Prepare and manage case carts.
- Ensure proper handling and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current BLS certification.
- Recent GI/Endoscopy experience is required.
- Experience assisting with procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs.
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an outpatient surgery center or endoscopy unit.
- Previous travel assignment experience is a plus but not required.
