QA Lead

Insight Global is seeking an experience Quality Assurance Lead to join one of their Investment Banking clients in New York City. The QA Lead will build and scale quality assurance capabilities across a growing portfolio of front-office and enterprise applications and will be responsible for leading both onshore and offshore QA teams while remaining hands-on with test automation, test strategy, and quality engineering activities. The ideal candidate has a blend of technical testing expertise, automation development experience, and leadership experience managing distributed QA teams within large financial services organizations. This person will play a key role in improving quality processes, expanding automation coverage, supporting critical business applications, and establish the long-term QA strategy as the organization continues to grow. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days a week onsite in New York City.


Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor onshore and offshore QA teams across enterprise applications
• Define QA strategy, standards, processes, and best practices
• Manage testing priorities, resources, and delivery timelines
• Partner with developers, product teams, business stakeholders, and executives
• Scale and mature QA capabilities as the organization grows
• Develop and execute test strategies across web, mobile, APIs, and data platforms
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, UAT, and end-to-end testing
• Identify quality risks, testing gaps, and process improvement opportunities
• Drive defect management, root cause analysis, and production readiness
• Build and expand automation frameworks, scripts, and testing coverage
• Provide hands-on automation development and technical leadership
• Evaluate and implement testing tools, frameworks, and best practices
• Monitor quality metrics and improve testing efficiency
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and releases
• Partner with engineering teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC
• Ensure successful delivery of both existing and newly developed applications
• Hold teams accountable for quality standards and testing excellence

Required Skills & Experience
• 8-10+ years' experience in software quality assurance, quality engineering, or test automation
• Experience leading QA teams onshore and offshore in a financial services enterprise
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and modern quality engineering practices
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts
• Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and data integration platforms
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands on technical contributions in a fast-paced agile environment


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting front-office business u in investment banking, capital markets, private equity, or hedge funds
