Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)UPMC Specialty Care Gastroenterology Associates is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in York, PA. This position offers the opportunity to work independently within the Triage Department while also supporting clinical operations throughout a busy gastroenterology practice. The ideal candidate will enjoy a combination of patient interaction, clinical support, and care coordination in a collaborative outpatient setting.Location: UPMC Specialty Care Gastroenterology Associates 2690 Southfield Drive, Suite A York, PA 17403Schedule:Full-TimeMonday through Friday7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.No eveningsNo weekendsNo holidaysWhy Join Our Team?No evenings, weekends, or holidaysFree on-site parkingWork within a collaborative team consisting of 5 physicians and 7 advanced practice providersIndependent workspace within the Triage DepartmentOpportunity to support a growing specialty practice with 12 exam rooms and an in-office phlebotomy suiteResponsibilities:Draw blood.Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department Of Health).Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.Comply with all policies and procedures.Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.One year clinical experience preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hireBasic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Act 34UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
