JOB TITLE: RECEPTIONIST - DEPARTMENT

CALENDAR:2611H (12 MONTH)

SALARY: GRADE 109 ( SUPPORT HOURLY )

Job Goal: Contribute to effective school public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries and visitors, and perform clerical duties as requested. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to operate telephone equipment Ability to type accurately at an acceptable rate of speed Ability to work with students, parents, staff, and the general public Knowledge of and adherence to district policies and procedures affecting assigned work Core Job Functions: Greet all visitors and substitute teachers courteously, determine their needs, check appointments, and direct or escort them to the proper person Answer all incoming telephone calls and respond appropriately to requests for information Use the intercom system to call students from classes at the request of the principal Maintain files and records, update principal's budget and account balances Process a variety of forms and maintain appropriate supplies Perform clerical duties such as typing, sorting, distributing mail, counting and depositing money, filing, and assisting with work overflow as requested Order inventories and distribute supplies Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position Core Values: Excellence in all we do.
