Pay: $18.00+ per hour, depending on veterinary experience

Plano Animal Hospital is a growing veterinary practice focused on providing exceptional medicine, an outstanding client experience, and meaningful relationships with the pets and families we serve.

We are looking for an experienced veterinary professional to join our team as a Client Service Representative (CSR). This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already understands the veterinary environment, loves connecting with clients, and is excited about helping a growing practice become an even bigger part of the Plano community.

What You'll Do

As one of the first points of contact for our hospital, you will help create an exceptional experience from the first phone call through checkout. Responsibilities include:

• Greet clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and confidence

• Answer phones, emails, and client inquiries efficiently and accurately

• Schedule appointments appropriately based on patient needs and hospital workflow

• Check patients in and out and maintain accurate medical records

• Process payments and assist with daily front-desk procedures

• Communicate with clients about preventive care, medications, wellness services, and hospital offerings

• Obtain and organize medical records from referring and previous veterinary hospitals

• Manage lobby flow, appointment expectations, and client communication

• Partner closely with the veterinarian and clinical team to keep the day running smoothly

• Help identify opportunities to improve the client experience and support hospital growth

• Jump in wherever needed as part of a collaborative veterinary team

Veterinary Experience Required

We are specifically looking for someone who already understands the pace, terminology, and unique client service needs of a veterinary hospital.

Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of veterinary experience in a role such as:

• Veterinary receptionist or CSR

• Veterinary technician

• Veterinary assistant or technician assistant

• Other comparable client-facing veterinary hospital experience

Previous veterinary reception experience is especially valuable, but clinical team members who are interested in transitioning to a client service role are encouraged to apply.

In addition to veterinary experience, you enjoy helping a practice grow and connecting with the surrounding community.

Experience or interest in any of the following is a plus:

• Creating engaging social media content

• Taking photos or videos for hospital social media

• Helping manage Facebook, Instagram, or other social platforms

• Developing community partnerships

• Visiting neighboring businesses and introducing them to the hospital

• Participating in local events, community outreach, or grassroots marketing

• Brainstorming creative ways to attract new clients and strengthen existing relationships

You don't need to be a professional marketer. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, comfortable talking to people, and excited about helping us tell Plano Animal Hospital's story.

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of veterinary experience required

• Strong client service and communication skills

• Working knowledge of veterinary terminology and hospital workflow

• Confidence communicating with pet owners both in person and over the phone

• Excellent organization and attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy veterinary environment

• Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative

• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented

• Comfortable learning and using veterinary technology and software

• Genuine interest in creating an exceptional experience for clients and their pets

Compensation

Starting at $18.00+ per hour, depending on veterinary experience and qualifications.

Candidates who bring strong veterinary experience along with social media, marketing, or community outreach skills are especially encouraged to apply.
