ServiceNow – Journeyman Software Developer 

Position Location:  Tampa, FL / MacDill AFB (On-Site with Hybrid Work Options)

Position Summary:  Join STS as a Journeyman ServiceNow Developer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role requires expertise in ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration, with a focus on delivering robust applications and maintaining system performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, project management abilities, mentorship to other junior developers, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform
• Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade is completed
• Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to, screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development
• Obtain and analyze business requirements to purpose sustainable solutions in ServiceNow
• Coordinate and solve complex technical data
• Develop maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets
• Create and maintain system design
• Other duties as assigned
• Periodic Travel

Security Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Active Secret clearance required
• Complete all required security and cybersecurity training requirements

Required Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• 2 years of ServiceNow development experience
• Experience supporting Agile software development teams and ServiceNow integrations
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HAM, SAM, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply mathematical concepts to validate results
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present information accurately and effectively
• Adaptable and collaborative, with the ability to mentor junior developers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and business partners at all levels
• Ability to manage workload effectively and work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
• SAFe Agile Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, UI Actions)
• Experience with ServiceNow Orchestration and Integration Hub
• Knowledge of ITIL framework principles and practices
