Production Operator

Manufacturing PositionSummary: Manufacture products utilizing primary and secondary processing equipment or hand assembly. Following all procedures and work instructions, achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety assuring internal and external customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but will not be limited to. Other duties may be assigned:Operate molding press/equipment per Company proceduresReview job standards before running productionAssure product meets established quality criteria of zero non-conformancesCorrectly record scrap every hour per work instructionsCorrect application of all internal and external labels when requires, including removal of all old labels from returnable packagingCorrect application of lot control numbersReview daily of all applicable quality alertsImmediately notify Production Supervisor of all discrepancies to established quality checks or any condition identified to be out of the normal operating conditionCommunicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates during staff meetingsMaintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areasParticipate in team problem solving activities (communication meetings, shift meetings, etc,) and continuous improvement activitiesResponsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety and environmental proceduresWear required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, close toed shoes/boots with rubber sole base)Adhere to all company policies and proceduresQualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, or schedule form.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
