Senior Director Program Management

We're partnering with an innovative biotechnology company seeking a Senior Director of Program Management to lead cross-functional development programs from late discovery through early clinical development.

This individual will play a key role in driving program strategy, aligning cross-functional teams, managing timelines and milestones, and ensuring execution across R&D functions including Nonclinical, Clinical, Regulatory, and CMC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead integrated program planning and execution across multiple development programs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment, governance, and decision-making.
• Manage program timelines, milestones, risks, and resource planning.
• Prepare and deliver program updates for executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal teams, external consultants, and CRO partners.
• Implement operational processes and best practices to support efficient program execution.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related scientific discipline with at least 5 years of biotechnology experience preferred. Master's or Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in managing programs also considered.
• PMP certification a plus.
• Prior experience with small molecule drug development programs is required.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional drug development programs.
• Experience supporting regulatory submissions and development-stage programs.
• Strong understanding of nonclinical, clinical, regulatory, and CMC activities.
• Proven ability to influence across functions and operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Prior experience within emerging biotech companies strongly preferred.
• Experience with project management platforms such as Smartsheet preferred.
