NC Programmer

NC Programmer Lead the design and execution of numerical control (NC) programs for the production of components, tooling, and manufacturing development projects. Responsibilities Create and maintain accurate NC programs for numerical‑controlled production and tooling. Develop detailed tooling/material sketches, setup sheets, dimensional charts, and machine operation diagrams based on engineering information. Determine the most efficient lofting and fabrication methods using numerical control techniques and sheet‑metal standards, ensuring dimensional sequencing of operations on CNC equipment. Program and oversee the manufacturing of parts, tools, tooling fixtures, assembly fixtures, and mockups, while maintaining all design characteristics and aerodynamic features within specified tolerances. Schedule multiple assignments, estimate reliable cost/hour figures, and direct team workflow for specific programs. Maintain complete documentation of programs to support effective process control and facilitate follow‑up on tooling, fabrication, and assembly departments. Collaborate with engineering personnel to discuss changes when designs do not meet tooling or manufacturing requirements. Maintain contact with appropriate engineers and ensure that all modifications are implemented correctly. Apply mathematical formulas for computing flange setback, springback development, bend allowance, and scale factors when required for form and die setups. Experience & Other Requirements Two (2) years of college or equivalent experience, with preferred coursework in Math through Trigonometry and Analytical Geometry; Engineering Materials; Processing Technology. Training in CADAM, CATIA, and APT programming. Solid understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Catia V‑5 modeling and surfacing experience.
