Snowflake Data Platform Operations Engineer

Kforce has a client in need of a Snowflake Data Platform Operations Engineer. Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for Snowflake platform incidents, triage, and resolution
- Monitor platform health and performance using observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana)
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks and recovery procedures
- Support disaster recovery and operational readiness activities
- Manage Snowflake objects (databases, schemas, roles) and lifecycle processes
- Administer IAM, including user/role management and integration with enterprise tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement updates
- Manage incidents, changes, and service requests through ITSM tools
- Create documentation and training materials for operational support
- Drive continuous improvement of platform stability and operations
- 3+ years of experience in Snowflake platform operations or support
- Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core) preferred
- Strong SQL skills and basic scripting (Python or Bash)
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP acceptable)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with Linux systems and batch scheduling tools
- Knowledge of ITSM processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
