About the Role

Maricopa Water District (MWD) is seeking an accomplished and visionary executive to lead one of Arizona's most unique public agencies. The role oversees irrigation water delivery, agricultural power services, critical infrastructure management, and the operation of Pleasant Harbor RV Resort and Marina.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop approximately 100 employees, setting strategic direction and ensuring operational excellence.
• Drive strategic initiatives, financial sustainability, and long‑term growth of the organization.
• Manage diverse operations across irrigation, water services, energy production, infrastructure, and recreation.
• Collaborate with the elected Board of Directors and governing bodies to set policy and maintain public service obligations.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a water district, irrigation district, public utility, or similarly complex organization.
• Proven experience overseeing diverse operations and managing large teams.
• Experience working with governing boards and balancing public service with enterprise operations.
• Collaborative, forward‑thinking executive capable of driving change and innovation.
