Advanced Critical Care Paramedic (FP-C/CCP-C)

Overview: Join a dedicated team providing critical care transport services across a broad regional area in the Southeastern United States. This role involves delivering expert patient care during inter-facility transfers and supporting hospital units with specialized paramedic duties. The position requires adherence to established protocols and the ability to function effectively in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities: Perform advanced life support patient care during transport between medical facilities, assist hospital units with clinical duties alongside other critical care professionals, and serve as a relief ambulance driver when necessary. Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and billing information in compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain readiness to respond calmly and professionally in emergency situations.

Education & Certifications: Must hold current paramedic licensure and certifications including FP-C or CCP-C for flight paramedic roles, International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or equivalent, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses 100, 200, and 700. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification must be obtained within six months of employment.

Experience: Minimum of three years recent and concurrent paramedic experience providing emergency care with an advanced life support unit in field or transport settings is required. Proven ability to work under stressful conditions and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current driver safety training. Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment up to 85 pounds regularly, with assistance for heavier loads. Visual acuity of 20/40 or better (corrective lenses allowed). Knowledge of emergency medical procedures, rescue techniques, hazardous materials response, and communications equipment is essential. Willingness to work in various physical environments and exposure to infectious materials is expected.
