# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** June 29, 2026 **Location:** Corpus Christi, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or Night Shift available; 1:4 patient ratio for low acuity patients (ESI 4 & 5); 16-bed unit with 8 hall chairs**Highlights:** - Work in a facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma designation, offering expanded scope and professional growth- Collaborative team environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage nurse, ultrasound tech, and support staff- Manageable patient ratios focused on low acuity cases (ESI 4 & 5), may occasionally care for up to 6 patients- Utilize Meditech EMR system with integrated vital signs documentation for streamlined workflows- Participate in recognized quality care initiatives including Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma protocols- Join a department committed to climbing patient satisfaction and employee engagement rankings**Requirements:** - Active Texas RN license or compact state license- TNCC, ENPC or PALS certification required- ACLS and BLS certification required- Level II or Level III trauma experience required- Preferred: CEN or TCRN certification, CPI training- Preferred: Two or more years of emergency department experience- Strong skills in assessments, documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV insertion, lab draws, and care for patients across all ESI levels**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an exciting time to join a growing emergency department that values compassion, urgency, and teamwork.
