Overview Hourly Pay Range: $21.08 - $31.62 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position: Lead Sterile Processing Tech - Sterile Processing Department - Days Position Highlights Bonus: 5K Location: Arlington Heights, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full time Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm; Rotating Weekends and Holidays Required What you will need Education: High school Diploma or GED required Certification: CBSPD or CRCST through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (formerly IAHCMM) upon hire Required Experience: Two (2) years' experience in healthcare sterile processing (or surgical/procedural area) Preferred: Two (2) years' experience as a lead or in staff education Skills: Proficiency in Outlook required License: N/A What you will do Assist in running the department when supervisor is unavailable Inform management of items and supplies needed to order; assist in locating instrumentation and adjust workflow to meet OR demand Oversee the departmental needs on a daily basis Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment Execute established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and surgical case cart setup with quality control for patient care Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution with accurate labeling by department Leadership and Operations Coordinates daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department, including decontamination, instrument set assembly, medical device processing, patient-care equipment processing, case cart processing, disposal of refuse and distribution of supplies Act as daily liaison between Sterile Processing and Surgical Services; communicate daily issues with OR staff and SPD staff Mentor and train new technicians; provide ongoing education for all staff Monitor equipment and instrumentation; ensure continuity of work flow, quality control, and infection control practices Manage documentation of sterilization records and department productivity; support continuous quality improvement initiatives Maintain an orderly instrument inventory and coordinate instrument transport as needed Attend staff meetings and training as required Other duties as assigned Benefits Career pathways for professional growth Medical, dental, and vision options Tuition reimbursement Free parking Wellness program savings plan Health savings account options Retirement options with company match Paid time off and holiday pay Community involvement opportunities About Endeavor Health Endeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
