Software Engineer 5 - Foundation Tech & Embedded Graphics

Foundation Tech team at Netflix develops robust, scalable device reference designs in collaboration with hardware partners. Responsibilities Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate and optimize reference solutions for various devices. Identify and resolve issues related to embedded system integration, including hardware bugs, software compatibility problems, and performance bottlenecks. Conduct rigorous testing to validate the performance, reliability, and compatibility of reference implementations in different environments. Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration processes, best practices, and troubleshooting guides. Provide technical support and guidance to partners and internal teams during the development and deployment phases. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in entertainment technology and contribute to developing new features and improvements. Qualifications Experience with embedded systems. Experience integrating 3rd party libraries and troubleshooting embedded systems. Strong coding skills in C/C++ and JavaScript. Proactive, quality‑focused mindset with initiative to lead projects. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Ownership of projects, ability to drive with minimal direction, and prioritize appropriately. Empathy for developer experience and ability to improve productivity. Growth mindset; eager to learn. Experience with graphics, AI fluency, or data analysis (preferred).
