Inventory Staff Accountant

• Maintain and update inventory records in the general ledger and ERP systems, ensuring stock is valued correctly.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between physical stock ledger, warehouse tool, and general ledger.
• Oversee cycle counts and physical inventory counts, investigating any variances.
• Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), purchase price variances, freight and duty allocations, and gross margins.
• Prepare inventory-related journal entries, accruals, and reserve calculations for obsolete or slow-moving stock.
• Supply accurate current landed cost data to R&D and Sales for use in calculating project cost and customer selling prices.
• Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, operations to resolve discrepancies and streamline supply chain data.
• Supply audit support for the year end external review, as it relates to inventory and capital expenditures
• Support the accurate reporting of capital expenditures (Capex).

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or 3 or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry a plus
• Experience with M3 and/or SAP a plus
