QUICK FACTS

Location: South Madison - 3201 Latham Drive, Madison, WI
Pay: $16.21/hour
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday: 7 am - 9 pm and/or 3 pm - 5 pm

*Part Year includes built-in summer break, 2 weeks winter break, and spring break

QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED

• Age: Minimum 18 years old
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Training: Complete Intro to Childcare within 6 months of hire; Pediatric CPR within 6 months
• Physical Requirements: Dexterity, coordination, mobility, visual acuity to lift and/or restrain children of varying sizes
• Professional Competencies: Cultural sensitivity, ability to address needs of children with disabilities
• Experience: Working with low-income, multicultural families
• Knowledge: Basic first aid
• Language: Bilingual in Spanish and/or Hmong desired

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Bus Aide, you'll ensure safe transportation by:

• Assisting with daily pick-up and delivery of children on bus routes
• Providing developmentally appropriate transportation experiences for young children
• Ensuring all children are safe during boarding, riding, and exiting
• Maintaining clean and sanitary bus interior environment
• Supporting children with disabilities during transportation
• Building positive relationships with children and families
• Participating in required training and professional development
