• Can you diagnose complex faults—electrical, refrigerant-side, or airflow—without breaking a sweat?

What you’ll tackle

• Startup and commissioning of commercial/process HVAC and chiller systems; confirm setpoints, sequences, and design intent.
• Preventive maintenance to protect uptime and efficiency.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues, leaks, and balance problems.
• Validation of controls operation and safety devices.
• Closeout support with PMs and installers to resolve post-installation punch items.
• Detailed documentation of findings, measurements, replaced components, and adjustments.
• Clear customer communication on performance, energy opportunities, and service recommendations.
• Adherence to safety standards, codes, and internal procedures.
• Ongoing training to stay current with HVAC tech and diagnostic tools.

Where and how you work

Remote role serving clients across the U.S. Expect up to 80% travel. We support predictable rotations—such as 14 days on / 7 days off or 21 days on / 14 days off—to keep work and home in balance. Company covers or reimburses business travel in line with policy and provides per diem on assigned jobs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial HVAC service/maintenance ; installation background beneficial.
• Advanced knowledge of the refrigeration cycle.
• Expertise reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical/controls.
• EPA Type 1 & 2 Refrigerant Certification.
• Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
• Comfort in rooftops, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments.
• Based anywhere in the U.S.; willing to travel extensively.

Compensation and benefits

Pay range: $50–$80 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits plus travel reimbursement per policy; per diem and travel costs paid for assigned work.
