Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience teaching students with special needs in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s individual learning goals
- Implement a range of instructional techniques tailored to diverse learning styles
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies to maximize growth
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for IEP compliance and student progress
- Communicate proactively with parents and guardians regarding student needs and accomplishments
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams
