Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role is for a per diem staff pharmacist position supporting an independent retail pharmacy environment. The position offers flexible scheduling with one day per week shifts, generally from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing a great opportunity for pharmacists seeking consistent but limited weekly hours.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions in compliance with all regulations
- Provide excellent patient counseling and medication therapy management
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow in a volume of approximately 275 prescriptions per day
- Utilize Pioneer RX for order entry; training available for those without prior experience
- Maintain professional standards and ensure safety within the pharmacy
Qualifications:
- Current, active pharmacy license in Georgia
- Previous retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX software is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently within a small team environment consisting of one pharmacist and three pharmacy technicians
