Financial Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making within a manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with operations, supply chain, production, and leadership teams to analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, improve profitability, and support strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis Prepare and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans. Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances between actual, budgeted, and forecasted performance. Develop financial models to support strategic business decisions and capital investment opportunities. Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Analysis Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and inventory. Evaluate production efficiency, yield, scrap, and utilization metrics. Support standard cost development and maintenance. Analyze product profitability and recommend opportunities for margin improvement. Partner with operations teams to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives. Reporting & Business Intelligence Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and operational reports for management. Develop dashboards and KPIs to track manufacturing performance. Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by leadership. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial reporting systems. Operational Support Collaborate with production, procurement, supply chain, and engineering teams to evaluate operational performance. Support inventory management initiatives through analysis of inventory turns, obsolescence, and carrying costs. Assist in evaluating new product launches, pricing strategies, and capital expenditures. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required. MBA, CPA, CMA, or other professional certification preferred. 2–5 years of financial analysis, FP&A, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance experience preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing operations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar platforms. Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL preferred. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Ability to interpret large data sets and provide actionable recommendations. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills.
