Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift assignment requiring SC or compact RN license and 2 years of stepdown experience.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) setting within a 12-bed unit,
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, 7p-7a,
• Patient ratio of 1:4,
• Every other weekend required,
• No on-call requirements,
• Floating required within scope to sister units/facilities, with agency staff floated first,
• Epic EMR used, experience preferred,
• Holiday rotation required,

Job Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start,
• BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• NIHSS certification preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience required,
• Epic charting experience preferred,
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients,
• Skills such as IV therapy, central/peripheral line management, and cardiac monitoring are utilized,
• Experience with neuro, respiratory, cardiovascular, and renal patient populations is beneficial,
• Royal blue scrub color required,
• Free parking provided on-site,
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties,
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience,
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application for consideration
