Accounts Payable Lead

Location: Overland Park, KS
Schedule: Hybrid, 2-3 days in office

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to oversee day-to-day AP operations and support a collaborative accounting team. This position will be responsible for high-volume invoice processing, vendor management, reconciliations, payment processing, and month-end close support.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Accounts Payable experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to provide guidance to other team members while helping improve AP processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Accounts Payable operations .
• Review and process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure proper invoice coding, approvals, and general ledger allocations .
• Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage vendor payment processing and monitor AP aging .
• Assist with month-end close activities.
• Provide documentation and support for audit requests.
• Support ERP and process improvement initiatives .
• Partner with Purchasing and Operations teams to resolve invoice and vendor-related issues.
• Mentor and assist Accounts Payable team members as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience .
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience working within an ERP system required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• High-volume Accounts Payable experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across departments.

• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to identify opportunities for process improvements.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
