What This Role Looks Like

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager and Maintenance Lead, this position supports the plant facility in all areas of Maintenance and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs troubleshooting and diagnoses problems, using blueprints, common hand tools, and electronic test devices.
• Repairs and maintains production equipment including hydraulic machines, electrical machines, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic and electric freight elevators.
• Repairs building and grounds equipment and machinery, including plumbing, electrical, sprinkler systems, and air conditioning and heating equipment.
• Maintains and repairs specialized equipment and machinery.
• Fabricates machine parts, as necessary, to make repairs.
• Obtains necessary supplies from distributor or storeroom.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance such as inspecting belts, checking fluid levels and filters.
• Abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensues that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and reaching with hands and arms. Lifting up-to 50 pounds. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit. Regular attendance is required.

Work Environment

Work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemical, heat or cold (non-weather) conditions, risk of electrical shock, vibration. Outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures. Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dusty, dirty.
