About Us Wells Plumbing and Heating Supplies has been a distributor of plumbing fittings, water heaters, boilers, and other related accessories in the Chicagoland area since 2002. Job Summary We're looking for a CDL Truck Driver to deliver our products within the Chicagoland area and neighboring suburbs. Duties Safely operate our company truck and van. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety hazards before and after each trip. Route driving to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards. Communicate effectively with customers and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Skills Previous experience in truck driving and a valid CDL license. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficient route management. Experience with load & unloading vehicles and managing freight securely during transit. Familiarity with route planning software or GPS systems for effective route driving. Good communication skills to coordinate deliveries and report any issues or incidents. (Preferred) Experience using sit down forklifts.
