Java Developer – JPMC

JPMC is looking for qualified Java Developers with 4+ to 12+ years of experience, ranging from mid-level through senior level. The ideal candidate will have recent, hands-on experience in Core Java/backend development, strong software engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Location: Jersey City, NJ | Wilmington, DE | Columbus, OH – Onsite. Candidates must be local or semi-local to one of the above locations. Candidates residing within 150 miles are acceptable, provided they are ready to relocate.

Required Experience & Technical Skills:

• 4+ years of recent, hands-on experience in Java/software development.
• Proficient in Core Java development skills as well as multiple design techniques.
• Working proficiency with the Core Java development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java backend development.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with the ability to work in at least one of the common Agile frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software engineering techniques, including: Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Test Driven Development (TDD), Cloud Development, Application resiliency, Application security.
• Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines.
• Understanding of the overall software development lifecycle, including: Business analysis, Development, Testing, Deployment, Maintenance, Continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java – Backend Development.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to effectively manage tasks and tickets.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• AWS
• React

Candidate Requirements:

• Visa Status: USC / GC / GC EAD only.
• Experience: 4+ years of recent, hands-on experience.
• Location: Local or semi-local to Jersey City, NJ; Wilmington, DE; or Columbus, OH, preferably within 150 miles and willing to relocate.
• Work Arrangement: Must be willing to work onsite.
• Employment: W2 only.
