RN Clinical Supervisor - Labor and Delivery FT Night

Position Overview This RN Clinical Supervisor – Labor and Delivery position at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA is a full‑time night shift role (12‑hour shifts). The supervisor reports to the Nurse Manager and oversees the delivery unit, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care. Responsibilities Assist the Nurse Manager/Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services. Manage and coordinate unit staffing, patient care activities, and caregiver supervision. Interpret clinical policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulations. Maintain clinical competence and certifications to support unit needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). For those hired before 1/1/17 without a BSN, must obtain a BSN within 3 years. Current California Registered Nurse License. National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire. ANCC‑recognized specialty certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire). For hires before 2/16/2022 without AACN certification, must obtain within 1 year. Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in acute care in the specialty area. Minimum 1 year Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Nursing. Shared Governance experience. The base pay range is $67.93–$107.26 per hour, with additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and bonus opportunities.
