Established in 1994, G&S Manufacturing LLC specializes in welding and fabricating custom metal structures and assemblies for customers across the nation. In addition to fabrication services, we offer in-house painting capabilities to provide customers with a complete, finished product. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations and success of the Company. The individual in this role will help lead a team of approximately 10 employees while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. We are seeking a dependable, team-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Previous leadership, manufacturing, welding, painting, or safety experience is beneficial but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to lead by example. This is a full-time and safety-sensitive position.

 

  Primary Responsibilities

This position would be responsible for leading the team with the following areas of focus:

1.       Assist with coordinating daily production activities to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

2.       Support fabrication, painting, and shipping operations.

3.       Monitor product quality and ensure company procedures are followed.

4.       Help maintain inventory levels and organize materials as needed.

5.       Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

6.       Provide guidance and support to team members and assist with training when needed.

7.       Identify potential production issues and work with management to find solutions.

8.       Communicate daily priorities and help employees stay on task.

9.       Assist with production work and job completion as needed.

10.   Serve as a resource for employees by helping and answering questions throughout the day.

Education and Work Experience

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Experience in welding or industrial painting. (Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the required skills and knowledge will be considered.)

3.    Experience in management or supervisory role.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

1.       Must be able to wear a respirator, pass a Respirator Test, pass a physical exam and drug test.

2.       Skill/welding test required.

3.       Able to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.

4.       Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical ability

 

Wage is based off experience.
