This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience within this specialty. The unit encompasses higher acuity cases, including thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring
• Administer medications and manage patient pain levels
• Assess patient conditions and perform necessary interventions
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients
• Participate in on-call coverage during holidays

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience
• AHA ACLS and BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred

Holiday Expectations

MUST work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
