Sr. Reliability EngineerOn Site in Any of These PA Locations: Towanda, Erie, State College, Gettysburg, HanoverOur client is seeking experienced Reliability Engineers to support the assessment, improvement, and long-term performance of electric distribution systems across multiple locations in Pennsylvania. This on-site role is ideal for mid-to-senior level engineers with a strong background in electric utility operations, reliability analysis, and distribution infrastructure planning who can contribute immediately within a highly visible engineering organization. The Reliability Engineer will play a key role in enhancing system reliability, supporting grid modernization initiatives, analyzing outage and performance data, and developing infrastructure investment strategies to ensure safe and reliable service for customers. This position also offers the opportunity to serve as a technical mentor and help develop future engineering talent entering the organization. You will have the chance to make a significant impact on the reliability and modernization of energy delivery systems while supporting the professional growth of both yourself and your colleagues.Analyze and improve electric distribution system reliability performance across multiple operating areasDevelop reliability improvement strategies and long-range plans to support system modernization and future load growthSupport long-term infrastructure investment planning and reliability-focused capital projectsPerform detailed analysis of outage events, circuit lockouts, device interruptions, CEMI/DEMI metrics, and underperforming circuitsPrepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for engineering and operational leadership teamsSupport budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and execution of reliability initiativesPartner with field operations, system operations, distribution control centers, and engineering teams to resolve reliability concernsInvestigate power quality issues and support customer inquiries as neededReview equipment performance data and identify corrective actions for inoperable or aging infrastructureProvide technical expertise during storm restoration efforts and emergency response activitiesServe as a resource and mentor for junior engineers and early-career technical professionalsEnsure all work is executed in accordance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practicesBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline5+ years of utility engineering experience focused on electric distribution systemsExperience operating at an Engineer III or Engineer IV levelStrong understanding of electric distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and reliability performanceExperience analyzing electrical system data and developing engineering recommendationsKnowledge of utility reliability metrics, outage analysis, and infrastructure planningAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Pennsylvania as neededProfessional Engineer (PE) License or Engineer-in-Training (EIT/FE) certification (preferred)Experience supporting storm restoration or emergency response operations (preferred)Understanding of NESC and NEC requirements (preferred)Experience with power quality investigations, outage management systems, and utility analytics tools (preferred)Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or technical employees (preferred)Willingness to relocate to or reside in PennsylvaniaEngineers who can immediately contribute to reliability and distribution engineering initiativesStrong technical problem solvers who can analyze complex electrical system challenges and develop actionable solutionsIndividuals interested in mentoring future engineering talent and helping build a strong technical organizationProfessionals seeking a long-term opportunity with a path to permanent employment Brooksource
