Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents and clients, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. Experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care is highly valued. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior, maintaining detailed documentation Administer medications and manage care plans according to healthcare provider instructions Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Support patients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia through specialized techniques Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and monitor vital signs to ensure patient safety Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and respectful atmosphere Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care Experience Prior experience in home health, hospice care, nursing home, assisted living, or group home settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s/dementia, or memory care needs is highly desirable Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring techniques, and HIPAA compliance is essential Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, or Nursing Assistant (CNA) are a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided for qualified candidates Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and work effectively in both individual and team environments This role is vital in providing compassionate care that enhances the well-being of residents.
