Dravida, a new restaurant from Chef Aarthi Sampath has opened in the East Village!

Dravida is a service-led, chef-driven restaurant focused on the Indian diaspora, with a dining room built around guided hospitality, strong pacing, and clear communication.

We're looking for an experienced host who is warm, organized, composed, and confident managing the flow of a busy restaurant. This role is for someone who understands that the host sets the tone for service and plays a central role in the guest experience from arrival through seating.

Responsibilities include managing reservations, greeting guests, supporting seating and pacing, answering restaurant phone calls, communicating with servers and management, and maintaining a polished presence at the door throughout service.

• 2+ years of NYC host experience, preferably in high-volume, upscale, or chef-driven restaurants
• Strong reservation management and guest communication skills
• Experience with Resy and Toast
• Strong floor awareness, timing, and communication with the service team
• Warm, polished, and composed guest presence
• Reliable, punctual, and team-first approach
• Dinner availability required, including Saturdays
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must participate in the FOH tip pool

• Experience opening a new restaurant
• Interest in South Asian hospitality, flavors, and regional cuisine
• Ability to support guest notes, confirmations, and private event inquiries as needed
