Charge NurseAs a Charge Nurse at Sheridan Medical Lodge, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care, working with a team of medical professionals, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents. You will be directly serving our residents with daily needs and our patients during their recovery. Our ideal candidate would be compassionate with a commitment to providing excellent care to our patients and residents alike.Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.Current Texas State license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.Current State Driver's License.A minimum of 1 year of clinical care experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse is required.Must be able to read, write, and speak English due to Federal and State requirements for documentation.Proficient in interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strong rapport with medical staff, residents, and their families.Skillful in communication, organizational, documentation, and time management.Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles and techniques of professional nursing.Familiarity in State and Federal medical regulations.Knowledge base of Medicare and Medicaid is preferred, but not required.Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Manager.Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.Monitor residents' vital signs and assess their physical and emotional status.Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.Document nursing assessments, interventions, and resident responses accurately and timely.Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.Work closely with physicians to develop and implement individualized plans of care for each client.Collaborate with other nursing agencies to ensure continuity of care and to effectively implement comprehensive care plans.Provide skilled nursing care as needed, adhering to the plan of care and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.CPRLicensed Vocational NurseEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
