Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine

Job Description Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. Performs Nuclear Medicine examinations for diagnostic and therapeutic (site specific) purposes under the direction of a physician. Prepares patient, prepares and administers prescribed dose of radioactive pharmaceuticals and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performs calculations and manipulates data according to established parameters. Ensures proper preparation and/or ordering of radioactive material, calibrates equipment, assures appropriate quality control, monitors patients and performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Education sufficient to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Preferred Qualifications 2 years of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Providence is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
