This contract role focuses primarily on leave coverage for at least one confirmed FMLA, with caseload assignments dependent on your availability and the needs of the district. Your work will span campuses in Florissant and/or St. Louis, collaborating closely with educators and multidisciplinary colleagues to address the unique challenges that students and families may face. Prior experience supporting students with special education needs (SPED) is highly valued.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active MO LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) required
• Proven background in school-based social work, especially with special education populations
• Confidence navigating diverse caseloads and adapting to the evolving needs of students
• Strong communication skills for liaising with parents, teachers, and administrators
• Ability to quickly complete district credential requirements (technology form and fingerprint processing)
• Commitment to upholding confidentiality and supporting a positive, inclusive school environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students across designated campuses
• Conduct assessments and interventions to support students’ academic and social-emotional wellbeing
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and resources for students and families
• Serve as an advocate for students' needs within the school community
