Residential Energy Specialist | L2 Field Technician

Field Engineer - Residential Energy dcbel is looking to hire a Field Engineer to work in its Revenue Team. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in enabling installer channel sales by accelerating the scale‑up of dcbel’s installer network through technical training directly in the field across Canada and the East‑Coast US. Main responsibilities Enable installer channel sales Provide on‑customer premise training of new installers during onboarding Provide technical support during installer sales outreach Provide ad hoc technical support during demonstrations and in other partner channels as required Key requirements Bachelor’s in Engineering from a top‑tier university or equivalent. Demonstrable hands‑on field experience supporting the sale and installation of new or innovative residential and/or energy products and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Canadian and US electrical codes. Working knowledge of power electronics. Working knowledge of IoT communication protocols. Profile Some knowledge of EV charging communication protocols (ISO 15118) and DER integration protocols (IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR) is a strong plus. Entrepreneurial mindset, result‑oriented and strong EQ. Great communication and presentation skills. Ability and willingness to travel; 85%+ in Canada and the US.
