MRI Technologist

Your Responsibilities Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times, as issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group. Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding. Ensure the patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards. Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort. Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam. Perform scans in accordance with the center’s protocol. Administer intravenous contrast. Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam. Record patient data to the Tech Data Entry program. Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate. Forward data and/or films/CD to the Radiologist upon completion of the exam. Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise. Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed. Adhere to all necessary training and licensing based on the credentialing policy. Qualifications Prior MRI scanning experience. MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications. Fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations. Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Availability to participate in a call schedule or rotation for some inpatient locations. Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds. Benefits and Pay Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Shields Health is an equal opportunity employer.
