Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Physician Practice Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 5 years RN experience, experience in cardiac telemetry department License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification Must-Have: - Experience with cardiac IV and PO - Experience with cardiac drips - Familiarity with complications related to cardiac care Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional nursing care in a physician practice setting. The RN supports healthcare providers and office staff in the coordination and delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include triaging and assessing patients, both in person and via telephone. The RN conducts patient intake, including history, vital signs, and health screenings. Administers medications and immunizations as ordered. Assists providers with examinations, minor procedures, diagnostic testing, and treatments. Performs wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection. Educates patients and their support systems on treatment plans, preventative care, and follow-up instructions. Communicates test results and care instructions to patients and/or support systems. Collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Documents all patient interactions in the electronic medical record. Ensures compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Coordinates clinical training and orientation for new and existing clinical staff. Mentors and supports Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Office Assistants. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities. Attends clinical meetings and relays pertinent information to team members. Fosters an inclusive environment while building a safe, trusting, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
