Location: Delmar Middle & Senior High Schools 200 N. Eighth Street Delmar, DE 19940

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Associate Degree or Minimum of 60 college credits
• Successful passage of ETS ParaPro
• Satisfactory Child Protection Registry Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation
• Cooperative attitude
• Excellent work ethic and ability to work collaboratively

Job Summary:

Facilitate targeted instruction provided by general education teachers in a classroom setting. Assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. May work individually and in small groups to reinforce instruction, monitor performance, and support learning. This position also performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports, as well as related clerical tasks to support teachers and other professional staff in all classrooms or learning environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains a safe environment for students, conducive to learning
• Assist teacher with student needs; may include feeding, lifting, toileting, and other learning activities
• Assists in other physical ways as identified in the IEP
• Reports to work on time every workday, except as afforded by existing law
• Perform other duties as directed by the school administration

Salary: As per State and Local Salary Schedules for FY27 based upon verified experience and education.
