RN - MedSurg/Tele

Registered Nurse - Float Pool (Cardiac and Surgical Telemetry)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 19:00 – 07:30, 3 × 12 hr shifts per week.

The Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care across multiple units including Cardiac Telemetry and Surgical Telemetry. The RN will assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician, while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver basic nursing care and monitor the condition of patients.
• Administer cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Nitro, and Cardizem.
• Provide care for stroke patients and understand their specific needs.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to individualize care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• PA Registered Nurse License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
• 1 year of experience in clinical specialty preferred.
• Travel experience required.
