Bio-Techne, and all of its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide.Pay Range:$91,700.00 - $150,800.00Position Summary:Bio-Techne is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Biologics Sales Specialist to join our Biologics sales team, who will be responsible for sales of our bioprocessing instrument platforms (iCE, Maurice, MFI), related systems, and consumables supporting customers within the assigned territory. The Biologics Sales Specialist will develop and execute strategic plans for the Biologics portfolio to increase sales and grow market share in the territory.This is a field-based commercial sales role and the ideal candidate would be located in or near the San Diego, California area.In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive a commission plan and long-term incentive package of stock grants based on individual and company performance, in accordance with company policy.Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:Achieve sales targets by applying a consultative, value-based selling approachSpend approximately 75% of time in the field, directly engaging with customersDevelop and implement strategic territory plans to grow market share and maximize customer successManage and grow existing accounts while prospecting for new opportunities within the biopharma and pharmaceutical sectorsProvide product demonstrations and technical presentations to scientists and key decision-makersCoordinate closely with internal cross-functional teams to deliver a unified and superior customer experienceMaintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity pipelines and forecasts using Salesforce.comRepresent Bio-Techne’s values and solutions at trade shows, vendor shows, and customer sitesEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree (or advanced) in a scientific discipline or related field required, allowing you to understand the product’s applications easily5+ years of experience in technical sales roles in the life science tools research market (biotech, biopharma, pharma, academia)Prior experience selling high value capital equipment is requiredExperience with MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce is requiredMust have a broad understanding of related scientific techniques, applications, and research areas of interest (e.g., Capillary Electrophoresis, Micro-Flow Imaging, High-Value Capital Equipment) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Entrepreneur’s mindset, resilience, and long-term visionStrong understanding and in-depth knowledge of laboratory workflows, supported applications, and instrumentation used in life science research and biopharmaceutical developmentProficiency in executing value-based sales techniques, including prospecting, building relationships, and presenting tailored solutionsProven ability to assess complex customer needs and deliver tailored, high-value solutionsStrong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on understanding buyer needs and delivering customer-centric solutions.
